Goodness, so many black and white walls recently...well I'm still here using my "standard" colors. XD And it's just a coincidence that this wall happens to be one of Rei too...
Original scan: http://www.animepaper.net/art/16150/yuji-kobayashi-picture Out of all Yuji's stuff, this pic is one of my favs; it just speaks to me. :) So I really wanted to wall it. ...Not to mention that Rei is also my fav Eva character. Hehe. As you can see, I added more life to her eyes and put a small (rare) smile on her face to make it more appealing, and cause who doesn't like smiles? ^_^ The feathers I thought would match with her hair and relate to the title too. Other than that, it was a standard repainting/vectoring, so I admit there's not much originality.
This time I went for more minimalism, after being inspired by one of my top fav walls on AP (I've always wanted to make a wall like this - with the solid hair and detailed face): http://www.animepaper.net/art/20092/motoko-affection Except instead of solely vectoring it, I used painting too as usual, cause that's how I roll. XD And because my last wall featured detailed hair and took forever, this wall is more of a simple quickie one that I finished in less than a weekend.
...And I would have finished sooner, if photoshop had not suddenly crashed on me when I was trying to use a filter, making me lose half a day's work (that I had to redo, luckily it was just vectoring stuff). t(>_
